The Four Oaks Neighbourhood Teams have issued their latest weekly update, covering residential burglaries, car thefts, anti-social behaviour patrols and community engagement across Four Oaks, Mere Green and Harvest Fields.
Patrols in Mere Green and Badgers Bank
West Midlands Police officers have carried out patrols in the Mere Green retail areas to deter shoplifters, as well as at Hill Hook Nature Reserve and Badgers Bank Road, following reports of anti-social behaviour from residents.
While patrolling Badgers Bank, officers observed two residents acting in an anti-social manner. Both individuals were spoken to and reported to the Housing Association.
Residential burglary in Four Oaks
Three residential burglaries have been reported in the Four Oaks neighbourhood:
- Lichfield Road – Tuesday 6th October 2026, between 04:30 and 05:00. Offenders gained access via a side door; nothing was stolen as they were disturbed.
- Heathfield Road – Between Friday 9th and Sunday 11th October 2026. Offenders gained entry via an insecure rear door and a handbag was stolen.
- Harvest Fields Way – Between Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th October 2026. Offenders attempted to snap the lock on a side door; entry was unsuccessful and nothing was stolen.
Car theft in Four Oaks: Worcester Lane and Ethlered Close
Two vehicles have been reported stolen:
- Worcester Lane – Saturday 10th October 2026 at 00:00. A bronze Lexus was stolen by unknown means.
- Ethlered Close – Between Friday 9th and Saturday 10th October 2026, 21:30 to 08:50. A red Jaguar was stolen by unknown means.
Keyless car theft: Faraday pouches
Owners of keyless entry vehicles are urged to keep their keys in a Faraday pouch and to check regularly that the pouch is still working — whether at home or out and about. This prevents thieves from intercepting the signal. A steering wheel lock is also recommended as a visual deterrent.

Street Watch volunteers needed
A Street Watch patrol was carried out by the Hill Village Street Watch group, and the team thanked all volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for Street Watch groups on Hill Village Road, Dunton Close and Harvest Fields Estate. Reply to the message for more information.
School parking patrols: Coppice, Four Oaks and Hill West
Parking patrols were carried out at Coppice Junior and Infant, Four Oaks Junior and Infant and Hill West Junior and Infant schools.
The Four Oaks Neighbourhood Team is working with schools to deter inconsiderate parking outside schools. While taxed and insured vehicles can park on the public highway, issues arise when vehicles park on yellow lines and zigzags, on footpaths, double park, or obstruct driveways — an obstruction offence that carries the risk of a fine.
Residents are asked to park correctly to keep children safe.
